Welcome to Leak Detection San Diego (“we,” “us,” or “our”). These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of our website leakdetectionsandiego.us (the “Site”) and the leak detection services we provide throughout San Diego County (the “Services”).
By using our Site or scheduling Services with us, you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our Site or Services.
1. About Our Services
We provide non-invasive leak detection services, including but not limited to water leak detection, slab leak detection, pool leak detection, and roof leak detection. Our technicians use acoustic sensors, thermal imaging, and pressure testing to locate leaks before any repair work begins.
Leak detection identifies the location and likely cause of a leak. It does not include repair, plumbing, or construction work unless separately agreed upon. Repairs recommended following a leak inspection may be performed by us, a licensed partner, or a contractor of your choosing.
2. Scheduling and Appointments
- Appointments, including same-day appointments, are subject to technician availability.
- We will make reasonable efforts to arrive within the scheduled window but are not liable for delays caused by traffic, weather, prior jobs running long, or other circumstances outside our control.
- You agree to provide accurate contact and service address information when scheduling.
- If access to the property (e.g., gate codes, keys, tenant permission) is required, you are responsible for ensuring our technician can access the relevant areas at the scheduled time.
3. Pricing and Payment
- Pricing for leak detection is provided prior to or at the time of service, based on the scope of the inspection.
- Any additional charges (e.g., if the job scope changes on-site) will be communicated to you before work proceeds.
- Payment is due at the time Services are rendered unless otherwise agreed in writing.
- Estimates for repair work following a leak inspection are recommendations only and are not guaranteed final costs unless confirmed in a separate written quote.
4. Findings and Recommendations
- We use industry-standard equipment and techniques to locate leaks as accurately as possible. However, some leaks — particularly very slow leaks or those in inaccessible areas — may require additional or more targeted testing to locate.
- If a leak cannot be conclusively located using standard methods, we will inform you directly rather than recommend unnecessary repair work.
- Any repair recommendations we provide are based on our professional assessment at the time of inspection and do not guarantee a specific outcome, as underlying conditions (e.g., pipe age, soil conditions, prior repairs) can affect results.
5. Customer Responsibilities
You agree to:
- Provide accurate information about the issue you’re experiencing
- Ensure safe and reasonable access to the property for our technicians
- Disclose any known hazards on the property (e.g., structural issues, prior repair attempts, pets)
- Make payment for Services rendered in accordance with these Terms
6. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for pre-existing damage, conditions, or issues on your property that are unrelated to our Services.
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from the use of our Site or Services.
- Our liability for any claim related to our Services is limited to the amount you paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim.
Nothing in these Terms limits liability where such limitation is not permitted under California law.
7. Warranties
Any warranty on our leak detection findings or related repair work (if performed by us) will be provided separately in writing at the time of service. Unless stated in writing, Services are provided without additional warranty beyond what is required by law.
8. Cancellations
If you need to cancel or reschedule an appointment, we ask that you notify us as early as possible. Repeated last-minute cancellations or no-shows may affect future scheduling priority.
